Just got this email from them today.

Dear c2itSM member,

Effective February 23, 2003, there are important changes to c2it
pricing and terms of use. Please be sure to read the revised Terms &
Conditions and Fees on our website for complete details regarding
these changes to your c2it membership. By logging on and using the
service after this effective date you are agreeing to these new Terms
& Conditions.

* New Domestic Send Cash Pricing
* Changes to the Add Cash Feature

New Domestic Send Cash Pricing

In order to maintain our high level of customer service, we will begin
charging a fee for each domestic send cash transaction. Domestic Get
Cash and Transfer Cash transactions will remain free.

* Domestic Send Cash Transaction Pricing
* 2.0% of transaction amount for each domestic send with a
minimum fee of $0.30

Continue to take advantage of our low $10 flat fee for each
International Transaction!*

Changes to the Add Cash Feature

You will no longer be able to conduct an Add Cash transaction from
your linked MasterCard® or Visa® credit or MasterCard® or Visa® debit
cards. We will continue to provide you with the convenience of
conducting Add Cash transactions from your Linked Bank Account(s).

THIS DOES NOT CHANGE YOUR ABILITY TO CONDUCT
INTERNATIONAL AND DOMESTIC SEND CASH TRANSACTIONS
FUNDED BY YOUR LINKED CREDIT OR DEBIT CARDS.

To Send Cash funded from your credit or debit card:
* Go to the International Page or Domestic Send Cash Page
* Enter your transaction information as you do today
* In the "Send from which account" drop down menu, select the
credit or debit card you wish to use
* Continue through the transaction as you do today

Use this method when conducting your next Domestic or International
Send Cash transaction funded from your credit or debit card.

Thank you for taking the time to review this important notice about
your c2it service. Please be sure to read the Terms & Conditions and
Fees on our website for complete details regarding these changes to
your c2it membership.

Thank You
c2it Customer Service

*In addition to the $10 transaction fee, any difference between the
foreign exchange rate given to you and the foreign exchange rate
received by c2it(SM) Service will be kept by c2it. Click on Fees,
Limits and Transaction Timeframes for more information. Foreign
exchange rates fluctuate. The c2it FX calculator displays your
foreign exchange rate before you complete your transaction. If you
have established a c2it line of credit, you will incur finance charges
if you choose to fund your transaction from that credit line. Your
credit card company may assess a finance charge and a fee each time
you use your credit card to fund your c2it transaction.

i'm not understanding the wording.

the sender of a payment gets charged a fee? or does the recipient get charged a fee, as with paypal?

anyhow, if i were to collect payments, i'd leave c2it as an option. But now, there is little incentive to use c2it, considering their system sucks, and their features are really poor. plus they lose your money every now and then. :disgust:

I can live with that. As a seller, I was sick of getting hit with the fees. It would be nice to see some of the purchasers get stuck with the fees for a change.
