C2D work with Dimension 9100 ?

I recently got a Dell dimension 9100 D.

would this mobo be able to handle C2D e4300 or 4400?

I was planning on getting that and maybe do a pin mod for little o/c.

According to Dell's site, that PC has the intel 945P chipset which should support C2D.

hmm thanx. ill go home and take a closer look.

wonder what model mobo is. I wish I could o/c more, but simple pin mod should be sufficient.

The 945 chipset doesn't nativly support C2D..it has to be a newer specific revision of the board that has the correct VRM. I doubt his board will support it, but you should be able to find out for sure on the Dell website..
