What is the difference between Core 2 Duos and Core 2 Duo Xeons? I know this topic has been lightly discussed before, but I've only seen speculation without any benchmarks. Do they overclock better? Do they have different optimizations? Or is it, as I suspect, purely an Intel marketing scheme?

Marketing ploy. Some people see better results and some see worse so they average out to the same.

The Core 2 Duo 6XXX series do support "Virtualization", but the 4XXX series doesn't.
Neither does the Pentium Dual-Core 2XXX line.
