Ok Im considering trying to build a P965 based c2d.
But instead of Microsoft I would like to try to run linux. (probably Ubuntu)
I dont want to dual boot because then it would defeat the purpose of moving away from my dependence on MS based software.
My only downfall is my addiction to World of Warcraft. I know there are ways to run WoW on linux such as cedega, crossover, etc
So Im looking for hardware reccomendations for running linux.
I currently am running a Abit NI8, 805D 2 3.32ghz, ATI X1950, 2 gb pqi ddr2
I am hoping to keep the vid card and memory
Does anyone have any experience with what Im suggesting?
Has anyone successfully done this with equipment similar to mine?
