C2D in Dell E510?

Hey All,

Does anybody know if the processor in the Dell E510 can be upgraded from the Pentium D it came with to a core 2 duo? I couldn't tell by the documentation online; only thing I learned was that it looks like it came with PC2-4200/DDR2-533 ram. I'd like to see about upgrading the cpu after the 7/22 price cuts to a e6320, or something?

Can this be done?

Thanks in advance,
Trevor

I found one review at cnet that states that this motherboard doesn't support dual core cpus. Most oem systems don't offer much in the way of cpu upgrades. Instead of changing cpus, you may want to get a mid range video card, such as the 7600gt, if your board has a pci-e slot. You can't use high end video cards without changing the power supply.

Thanks, o1die. I was just thinking that if it'd be easy, I'd upgrade the cpu. However, since it's not doable, I'm just gonna forget about it.
