Hi Everyone,

This is my first time custom-building a computer, actually I'm gonna let the computer store down the street build it, since I don't trust my wiring/ soldering expertise, but it's the first time I'm selecting all the components myself.

Please let me know if you see any major hiccups in my choices. Thanks!

Does anyone recommend buying extra fans for cooling? And if so what brand?

You know that building a computer is practically plug in play...not really much wiring(just plugging stuff in...and there is no soldering.

The chipset fans are a waste of money btw. Your PSU is overkill for your CPU/GFX card.

Get a 6300, a decent 450 or so watt power supply and a better graphics card(provided you are gaming)

Thanks for the advice Purdue.

I wanted the 6600 for the extra 2M cache though.

To Fishy: I've heard the Intel Dual Core stock coolers are pretty good on their own. I was planning to just use them. Would you recommend I upgrade to something better?

I'm not planning on SLI, crossfire, or OCing so I figured extra cooling might not be an issue.

I'll probably do SOME gaming, but not enough that a higher video card is a priority to me right now.

I care most about system stability. So any advice along that line would be VERY much appreciated. But any other advice is welcome too!

At that price, wouldn't it be cheaper (and easier) just to get a pre-built?

Yeah, I know, it can be fun building one yourself, but hey, just an idea...
