Ok, I keep getting this error message when I go to try install Win 98 on an old Dell system. What should I be doing? I mean, I just keep formating the HD then doing a fresh install of 98 and I keep getting this after I put in the Key Code.

When I've seen this it's always had to do with a NIC and a "bad" install of it's drivers. Got a NIC in there?

Nope...

I've formated this HD and keep on doing clean installs of 98 in hopes of it working. I'm thinking it's not the OS but the HD itself because I'll get through the entire install and when it restarts for that final time, it gives me the error message. That sound about right?
