This problem has occured for a while, but I never bothered to fix it, and when I tried to fix it recently I cannot figure out what's wrong with it. So I hope you AT folks can help me out a little:
I have a C-Media soundcard that came with my Soyo Motherboard, and I used it to play sounds on my FPS2000 4.1 surround sound system. The monitor that I use is the M50 monitor by HP, and it has a built-in microphone. The problem occurs when I try to play Counter-Strike, the microphone on M50 doesn't work! I try to open the voice tweak program in the Half-Life folder, and it gives me an error message that says "cannot initialize waveout". On a normal basis the microphone does work, meaning I can record sound. Thus the only plausible theory I have is that the problem resides within the game itself, but I'm not 100% sure, does anyone have an idea? Thanks in advance
