I download a lot of movies off of kazaa, and many of them are divx which is around 700 megs. However, for some reason, windows starts to store these movies in the C Drive (where i have an only windows partition, around 4 gigs of space). It keeps giving me low on disk space errors. I cant delete the folders in
Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5

because the files in the folders are currently in use by kazaa since it is downloading. How do i tell windows to stop storing downloaded files?

THANKS

It's Kazaa that is storing those files where you tell it to. I think by default Kazaa stores the files in a folder on yoru desktop. You need to go into Kazaa and change where it downloads the files to.

Actually kazaa by default stores them under C:/program files/kazaa/my shared folder and it puts a shortcut on your desktop to that folder.

The same file likely is Kazaa's temporary file, one it puts where it is installed, I believe, when you download files, and copies them to your shared folder. This might be avoided if you uninstalled Kazaa and installed it into the D:\ drive.

Try starting a new download, and see if it still creates a temp on your C:
It use to create a second copy on my D: drive and a final copy on my C: drive because i switched the locations from C: to D: but the files were utimately kept in the My Share Folder.

Where exactly are these files being store? What is the folder they are in? I have Kazaa setup to copy the files to a mapped drive and it stores even the temp files there. It stores NO files on my C drive ever.

I have installed kazaa on my F drive. I tell it download to my D drive. Windows automatically stores the filename (not the 23231287120382173 kazaa name) in one of the

Temporary Internet Files\content.ie5

folders. The download has just been completed and the damn file is not being deleted. I try to delete the file but it says that it is in use...wtf.

can anyone help?

THANKS

Ditto

Not sure if/why they are putting anything in your C:, esp in Temp Internet files, as that's what IE would use, not Kazaa. My Kazaa(lite) is saving the files to a network drive, and therefore I can start downloads from any PC in the house that I have Kazaa installed on and is running!
