C-dilla

Decided to do a quick review of all my programs under Add/Remove Programs in order to see what I could clean off my harddrive when I came upon an entry for C-Dilla (the security/spy software). I also noticed that it did not show any file size, but had the add/remove button. So I clicked it and a box popped up basically stating that the program could not be found and may have already been removed. I find that strange because I rarely delete programs without going through add/remove. So my question is is C-Dilla truly no longer on my harddrive or is it hiding somewhere that add/remove can not see. I have read that most regestry cleaning programs don't detect it's references in registeries, so that thickens the mystery.

have you run adaware and/or spybot? I'm sure they'll clean it out, c-dilla is pretty common. I think thats what turbotax used this year (altho they aren't going to use it anymore).

yep, I ran ad-aware and didn't see anything, that's what surprised me when I went to my add/remove. It was showing up there, though with no file size.

I would think if spybot doesn't catch anything either, and its not running as shown in the services or task manager, then its gone and the reference in the add/remove window can be deleted with a registry utility like jv16 or another.
