C&C: Generals.....networking.

gah! Why can't you use the second cd in Generals to play over the network? They always used to let you do that with the older games? What are the best ways around this (w/o warez obviously)? Thanks for your help.

I dont understand the problem with using the 1st CD... Unless your planning on giving your 2nd CD to another person... Either way, youd have to already install the program onto the other computer using the same CD Key... So that would pretty much ruin everything anyway considering they only allow one user per key.

With all the old versions, you could install it, then use CD1 on one machine, and CD2 on another machine, and plat against each other. Even with RA2 (and having the CD Key with that), you could still do that.

However I think his problem is that they don't allow you to do that now.

I don't have the game, so sorry, i can't help with your problem, minus.

Confused

You could use the 2nd CD with the other C&C games because each disc had a different campaign on it (Soviet disc, Allied disc, etc.) In Generals, the campaigns are kept on one disc, and the 2nd disc is just needed for install, so you sort of have a "Play" disc and "Install" disc
