Anyone else getting these surveys from EA about C&C4?

Command & Conquer 4 allows C&C fans to finally experience the epic conclusion to the 15-year Tiberium saga with innovative RPG-like player progression, persistent in both single player and Multiplayer modes, co-op play, and new stylized, live-action cinematics.

Innovative? EA are taking Relic's DoW2 model?

I haven't got the survey but if it is anywhere near as bad as C&C3 + KW then they can keep it.

Damn, here's me thinking the next C&C was going to be a sequel to Generals/Zero Hr.

That's disappointing, I love/d generals. :(

C&C is dead to me.

If they make a C&C Generals 2 it will sure be made to be shit unlike its predecessor which was fun as hell.

I thought that Kane's Wrath was just the first chapter out of three to explain what happens after C&C 3? In the same manner to Half-Life 2 episodes. I guess they've changed their plans, that'd be a good thing. I for one liked C&C 3 and RA 3, it's not jaw-dropping stuff, but it's decent. For me the best C&C title within the whole franchise including Red Alert has always been and still is Tiberian Sun (plus Firestorm).

I enjoyed C&C3, I found RA3 too cartoony but I really liked the online co_op idea. I know neither game did anything real different but they were solid old style C&C games.

Same, the series has not been amazing since Red Alert 1. Generals should not have bore the C&C name. TS was mediocre, RA2 was merely ok, have C&C3 (no expansion), but have not tried it yet.

I enjoyed C&C3 myself. It was enjoyable, except that some of the missions were impossible to actually beat without cheating, particularly those with the Scrin.

EA's claim to fame is their ability to kill franchises. I love the C&C universe and yes that goes for Generals and C&C 3 + Kane's Wrath, but in EA's hands they lack vision as usual and fail to see potential.

I'm currently playing C&C3 and I like it because it feels like previous games, I don't really mind the lack of innovation.

Wow lots of C&C3 hate in here lol! I actually liked C&C3 and KW, but I absolutely hated RA3.

C&C3 was suppose to to be the campy, kinda-over-the-top situatuion where the world encountered this alien susbstance and chaos ensued. Red Alert was suppose to be the somewhat realistic scenario of world war and its progression should things panned out Russia instead of Germany, etc.

Somewhere down the line EA mixed up their notes and completely switched the attitudes, now C&C3 trying to be more "real" while Red Alert being over the top ridiculous.

Gameplay wise, C&C3 is as old school as you can get. From insta-build buildings to running over units, it's all good. :p

Eh you got them mixed up yourself, the only "serious" red alert game was the first one, everything after that was campy. The tiberium series has always been the more serious one.

However... as I remembered whilst typing (and scrapping) a response, EA did turn Red Alert from a quite serious game into a rather cartoony and more jovial.

Prior to EA's intervention, both C&C and Red Alert were rather serious games with C&C being slightly more serious.

After EA, C&C continued being "serious" and Red Alert went more cartoony (RA2) then completely bonkers (RA3).

CONCLUSION?! F That! I don't want any conclusion to this! There must not be a conclusion!

C&C was the innovation. It was point and click with rubber band boxing to move multiple units much easier than in Dune 2....

Beyond that, C&C hasnt really done that much innovatively.

No kidding. Although as soon as you see the EA logo next to any game its bound to spur antagonism.

CNC3 was one of the best sequels I've ever played. Much better than either Tiberan Sun or Red Alert 2. It really felt like the designers actually went back and played CNC95 and worked from there.

RA3 on the other hand was total suckage. RA2 started this infusion of stupid campiness into the universe and it got even worse with RA3.

Hopefully CNC4 will be a serious continuation of the Tiberium Universe.

AFAIC progress peaked at RA2 / Yuri...
C&C 3 was a decent game as was RA3... ill most likely buy C&C 4...

but generals sucked. always has, always will.

but an mmorpg style c&c game? i doubt that would fly well.
