:confused:When instructions are traveling through the processor's pipeline, how many bits go through each stage in one cycle?
If a processor has a 32 bit bus, does this mean the answer is 32 bits per cycle?????
I am confused!
Can somebody help me?
Thanks.:)

:confused:Or another way to ask this:
How many bits can go from one stage to the next in a single clock cycle???
32 bits is just the width of the pipeline, right?
Thanks.

In an x86 processor, the instruction is variable in length. As for data, it is 32 bits wide.
