Anyway knows of how we can go abt bypassing a hardware firewall that block the irc port?
can we telnet out....
access to the internet and port 25 is also open for sending and retriving..

need some help..

Hm, if we could, that would be the end of the firewall market.

Firewall means exactly one thing, if it's block, you can't use. Unless ur firewall admin screw something up then u probably could.

How about paying for an Internet connection yourself? Then you can do what you like!
While you are on the network you are on though, you should respect the admin's wishes.

Amen Saltin! Also, when circumventing security measures be prepared to get caught. And if you are caught, be prepared to lose you job, get punished by parents, or go to jail (cracking (ie malicious "hacking") is a FELONY. Have a nice day :)

Agreed. If you need to get around the wall, explain why to the admin or whomever. If you have a valid reason, fine, otherwise just take a pass.

You can as the admin to open port 80, 531, 6667 if it is a legit reason for your you to do your work. Other wise it is a moot point for atemp to by passing the firewall, because not too many IRC & Web server that are setup using port 25 (SMTP).
