Bye S@H...

Ok, finally got 5000th WU uploaded (and some more to come). With all the (unaccepta ble) outages in S@H, I've had enough. Moving on to other projects.

I loaded F@H client on 1 of my comps for testing. What else would be a good hidden/ runs as a service project to put on my servers?

Got a dual Athlon MP1800+/ 1Gb and P4 2,533/ 512Mb servers waiting for assignments, who needs more firepower? 😉

Any project with tight race situation, I'm happy to to move at least those 2 comps over, as other projects have helped the Seti team!

Also got 2 XP2200+ comps currently out of job aswell.

TA F@H will really appreciate your help as we need a good boost to catch the next tier of teams. Anyone that adds their rigs to the cause is probably going to make a significant difference😎

Right, as you were the first to answer you shall be awarded. Just toying around with the client to see how it does...

2 comps joining the team anytime now. 😉

F@H is worthy, as is FaD. Both are great projects working towards the same eventual goal, just through different means. F@H is attempting to understand the disease, while FaD is trying to find the drugs to fix the issue. I cannot speak for F@H, but FaD is currently 4th in the world. After this month is over, it will be interesting to see if the team can keep its lead over TechIMO (once TAS moves to another project). Both will be glad to have you.

Both seem like good projects. I guess I'll "distribute" my power between them. We shall see.

HiYa DaFinn

Glad you're giving F@H a look. It sounds like it would be right up your alley. I've had a great experience with it for some time now.

We've seen some increased interest lately and your help is greatly appreciated. Hopefully we can generate enough interest to increase our production and hold off the team that is looking to pass us in the next couple weeks

Happy Crunching!

A quick tracert shows Stanford and Folding@home is using Cogent, while for Berkeley it's only the last days unaccessible SETI@home data-servers that uses Cogent...

Come over the FaD. I'm a SETI Classic transfer too. It's a lot better project, never any down time and the stats rock.

you really cant go wrong with F@H or FaD. both are great projects and as long as you crunch for the TeAm thats really what counts

LOL

I'm all down for more people joining out F@H team. While I'm only a small cruncher, it seems that everything we do is helping as the next tier of teams only outproduce us by about 5k points a day. If we added half of the computers that once crunched SETI then it might be enough.

😀

Jan, your past support for the SETI project and your contributions to our TeAm are greatly appreciated. 🙂

Why don't you come over the FaD Assim? 🙂 SETI is one outage after another....BAH!

Oh yea....and FaD is based in the UK! 😛

F@H has had outages in the past, but I can't remember the last time I had an "outage" that wasn't due to my own network setting screw-ups (again, however, I've got a short memory 😉). Besides, even if they do have an outage, the WUs are generally so big (take a long time) that it's not very noticeable.

We're glad to have you on TA-F@H, and I'm sure FAD is glad to have your help also! 😎

Nice try BT😛😉

The few recent outages haven't bothered me too much as I have my Q setup for a weeks stash 😉 (ever since they had their net link cut for a week 4yrs ago or so).
Btw I'd like to point out that power failures & ISP/internet connection troubles are not S@Hs fault & could happen to anyone 😉.It seems like a lot because in addition they've had the planned outages for BOINC 🙁.Anyway ,I don't wanta start another thread about this😉.
Maybe I'll join ya sometime in the near future for a bit after S@H1 ends🙂
