Gonna miss him, :(. 16 years, 16 seasions, 4 superbowls, and now its over for him. So long to the Greatest Reciver in the NFL's History! Anyone in the San Francisco Bay area here?

Yeah, I'll miss him too......I was AMAZED when I first saw him play....he could adjust to the flight of the ball so well....

not from San Francisco, but EVERY Football should respect Jerry Rice. He was the benchmark of all Wide Receivers.

i'm from the bay area...fremont to be exact...did he say he is retiring for sure? i heard of talk he might even go to the raiders...what exactly is his story? i know the 49ers plan on letting him go for salary cap reasons...

I Live in Sonoma, Im Not sure where he might go or if he will retire but no matter what team he goes to, he is only a 49er!

He's not retiring. ESPN says he plans on playing for at least another year at another team. Though like Montana, he will always be a Niner. :)

Amen. Jerry Rice has been da bomb for as long as I can remember. Minor miracle that his body has held up to play this long. He is a talent that will not be matched easily.
