"GM will add more standard equipment to the redesigned car and will try to raise the transaction price. All-wheel drive and a retractable hard top will be offered."

Oh baby! :D

Look for a 200hp "ish" 3.5L V6 base, and a 240+ hp 3.9L V6 "GT" version for the '06 model year, or maybe even later in '05 (similar to what they did in the 99+ GAGT).

Heh...with the direction that BMW is taking, I would almost say that the Pontiac is "more BMW than BMW."

Lets not forget who originated the front grill.

The G6 was a pretty slick-looking concept. We'll see what actually makes it to the showroom floors, however.

A retractable hardtop would be sweet but that would have to be a very, very expensive option.

Don't worry, GM will find SOME way to f*&k it up...I guarantee it.

What GM really needs to do is redo their pathetic Cavaliers and Sunfires

I really doubt it "will be will be nearly identical" to the concept. This is GM, even if Lutz pretends it isn't.

Also, I should point out that they need a supercharger to make the same horsepower as a 350z does NA.

It looks good, but I like the current Grand Am look. It's unique. That car looks too much like other cars that will be out around that time. I want a car that distinguishes itself and people say, "Wow, look at that" rather than trying to figure out which company even makes it because it looks so close to other cars. I think they can still do much more with the current design, and that they should make this car a completely new model and go crazy with it.

You're neglecting the fact that the current Grand Am is ugly as hell. The grotesque lump-of-plastic taillights almost make me sick.

That is what I don't understand. The Sunfire especially is beyond repair and a new name needs to be found for THAT, and not that Grand Am.

Does that even matter? All that matters is that they make the same horsepower, FI or not. Besides, cars that have FI from the factory have mroe modding potential.

Thats cool.. when I read that it just sounded like you were pointing that out as a negative, and I would definately not consider it that. While in my opinion there is something to be said when an NA car makes the same as FI, it really doesn't matter.
