I have a slot 1 p3 550e in an abit bx6 rev2. When I check sisoft sandra2000 cpu& bios information, I get areading of 75c and a warning at the bottom that the cpu temperature is too high. This has to be with the internal diode, is there a problem with bx6 rev2 false reading on the internal diode.I am overclocked to 733, and motherboard moniter reading is around 34c. If anybody has a simular setup or knows please let me know. THANKS woodsman

Don't believe SiSoft Sandras Temperature readings EVER!!!! I used it today and where hardware monitor gives me 38c for cpu Sisoft gives me 72c and 28c for mainboard where I usually get 38 from hardare monitor. Ive used other programs and that is the only one that gave anymore than a 5c differance in readings. God, you would think my computer was on fire with those readings.

Thanks guy for the feedback, I thought that the readings were wrong. It felt cool to the touch, and I have a large HS with a 38 cfm 80 mm fan. woodsman

Try bringing up the "Mainboard" in Sandra and click on "options" and near the bottom of the options list make sure the box for "Use temperature compensation for external sensors" is UNCHECKED. If it is checked you will receive erroneous high readings.
I have always found the Temps in Sandra to be accurate and identical to the temps displayed in the BIOS.

Unfortunately I find Sandra errors on many things, especially on motherboard/bios information..
