I am trying to run a Celeron 800 on my bx6-r2. I flashed the latest BIOS and it looks like it only supports up to a 700mhz cpu. I set the Soft Switch settings to User Defined, 117 (1/3), xfactor of 8 and save & exit. It starts to boot up and says it is running at 936mhz but get "CPU is unworkable or settings have changed", "press F1 to continue or Del to go into settings.". I press F1 to continue and the system (NT) boots up fine. When I reboot the settings are not saved and get reset back to 566mhz. The same thing happens if I choose 700mhz setting!

Has anyone ran into this problem and what should I do? How can I get these BIOS settings saved?

Set the 'speed error hold' to DISABLED in the bios.

Also set your Multiplier and your FSB correctly

NONE of your settings are 'correct'. The 700Mhz is OBVIOUSLY wrong.
Set it at 8x100 first. Make sure it works THEN overclock.
