BX vs Apollo Pro 133a in regards to u160 SCSI

Guys I decided to slap my ASUS P3V4X back in my tower w/ Win 2K as the OS. I have a 29160 & a 36LZX u160 IBM 18GB HDD. I am only getting 64mbps on the HD Tach 2.60 read burst speed readout, and w/ my MSI BXMaster I am getting 75mbps. I have the 4.25 4-in-1's installed. Not only is the memory performance slower, but it seems the HDD is as well on an Apollo chipset.

Any thoughts? Any fixes?

That's your theoretical burst speed. Don't worry about it.

rawko, thanks but I was fully aware of that. I am looking for a better explanation between the variance of the 2 chipsets.
