My motherboard has reported an unknown flash since I flashed it version 5.5 bios. I now need the new promise bios updated and this requires the 5.6 BIOS. When I try to flash the computer progrma reports back Unknown Flash type and won't flash the bios.
So I figure I'll go ahead and use that backup bios deal restore the bios and then try the flash program again.
But damn if I can't fing my manual!! Anyone know how to reset the BIOS from the backup bios chip (isn't there a jumper setting change too?)!?
