BX Master - BIOS for UDMA66 not installed???

Huh? Do I have to install something before my BX Master MB will recognize my UDMA hard drive using the nice blue 80 pin connector? Doesn't seem to want to work at all unless I use the old 33 connector and socket.

Hey Rap I am having the same problem. I do hope you get some answers.

You have to set the boot to ATA in the bios, and the make sure you actually do have your cable plugged into the Blue ATA66 channel, closest to the front of your case first. The only way you should get that message is if you are not using the channel, or not using the proper channel. One other way you'll get it is if you have scsi hard drive on a separate controller, in which cases, it's normal.

Have you installed the Promise Controller Drivers in Windows yet?
If you haven't then boot from the reg IDE port and install the drivers, then shut down, move the drive cable to the Primary UDMA66
port and reboot, stopping by the BIOS on the way through to reset the boot sequence.

mine has that same problem, all you have to do to fix it (or how i fix it) is push escape during memory test.

Compuwiz....have you ever tried flashing the Promise bios yet?Mine's build 1105 and i wonder if there's a newer version.

Dont think there is a flashable bios for the controller on the mobo. I believe it's incorporated into the mobo bios.
