BX Master AGP Question

Does the AGP normally run at 2/3 of the FSB speed? Does the ratio change at 100 or higher FSB? I don't think any manual or bios-based adjustments are possible on the board.

I am asking because I just upgraded from a Celeron 466 clocked at 525 (7 X 75) to a Celeron 850 (8.5 X 100). I want to know how far I might be able to push my Voodoo3 3000.

On all BX boards, the AGP is hard locked at 2/3 of the fsb. So, the AGP bus at 133fsb will be pushed to 88.6MHz. As for weather your V3 will work? Read Anand's testing on this very issue. It looks like that all Voodoo's are stable at 133fsb. You should be good (provided you've got high quality PCI Cards cause the PCI bus runs at 44.3MHz) and also make sure you've got PC133 RAM cause the Memory will run at 133MHz as well.

Quick comment on this, some BX boards did have an additional multiplyer to keep the PCI in spec while running at 133. If you have one of these boards, the PCI should keep running at 33 Mhz.
