It was lucky to get ICS since they cancelled it for other devices. I am happy with mine, except for the lack of customization, but I can deal with it.

And this doesnt affect my desire to purchase the MAXX HD at all.

My job gave me the go ahead to get rid of my droid Razr. Went with a 32gb iphone 5. No, I still hate apple but I hate the razr even more and i already have a sgs3 as my personal phone. I just really hated the droid razr and its real shitty battery life always trying to connect to LTE and just sucking at it.

This is not surprising. The NEWEST Atrix will be getting JB. You know, the Atrix HD. Why would they give last years model the newest os? At least it got ICS.
It shows that all phones from the Bionic up will get JB. That is pretty good amount of phones. Better than Samsung or HTC.

Seriously, if you only buy phones because of the expectation of getting newest os versions, get a Nexus or iPhone.

If the iPhone works for your business needs (or you just wanted to mess with it and not have to buy it yourself lol) I see no reason to feel like it was a bad decision.

What? Motorola confirmed that the Razr, Razr Maxx, Bionic, and the Droid 4 are all getting Jellybean..(Atrix HD, Photon Q, Electrify 2, and the Xoom LTE are also confirmed to get Jellybean)

this. kinda hoped my electrify would at least get ICS but im happy with its functionality as it is now. i just worry some apps will get updates and not work on it, or that new apps wont support it. meh. ill look into a custom rom down the road, no idea what motorolas are like to screw with but it does what i need, and does it well

They lie and say they'll give phones support until the last minute when they delay, delay, delay and then cancel it.

Anyways I like mny others will be shopping elsewhere. Its really no surprise why Motorola has been hemorrhaging cash and had to be sold.

If your phone is broke, you can't get $100.
The packaging must be in like-new condition.
The phone must be in like-new condition.
The phone must be active the day you purchase the new phone.
The phone cannot have a "bad MEID" if you cancelled your contract early.
You must wait 6-8 weeks to get a prepaid visa card.

It's not "reimbursement for being lied to" it's "here's a company that makes their business buying your phone and reselling it. They would have given you $100 anyway because it's a great piece of hardware. We're just telling you that we set this up so that you feel special and like you're getting a deal"

Makes much more sense to just sell the phone on Craigslist or ebay and guarantee clean MEID.

I guess Motorola set that program up for people that don't know that they can sell their phones for more than $200 on Craigslist.

If such a program helps Motorola from bleeding red ink, I'm all for it.

Heh i kinda don't care as I am really happy with ICS on my Atrix 2. I don't think I would want the Atrix HD over the 2 either due to small sealed in battery.
