Hiliarious, there is this wannabe in the office that thinks he knows what he is doing. he loves to brag about all the latest junk that he gets. Usually it's proven that he has just wasted a bunch of money. Anyway, he comes to me and says he got some neat network tools for $49. Okkk......

Here is a few of the "secret" tools he paid for:

"You see der is vun too dat allow me to see how der server responds."
/me goes to command prompt and uses PING command

"Ya, but does your program allow the find path?"
/me uses TRACERT command

"Ok Ok... but mine allows you to see connections"
/me uses NETSTAT command

"Vellll... dis vun allows me to see der info on my computer networking."
/me uses IPCONFIG command

"How much did you pay for your?"
/me tells him that it's available on any Windows PC with TCP/IP installed.

The person walks away.

Sounds Indian by the way the spelling correlates to an accent. I doubt they're Indian though. Most Indians are whizzes when it comes to IT though.

After reading the E*bay thread, I think we could make serious bucks by selling CDs with these "secret" tools. :)

I still think it was funny how you ripped him apart in the meeting when he made a comment that made less sense than the average Ross Perot speech :D
 

If there is anything better than a Russian tech, it's a German tech.

I remember my friend was telling me about a Russian guy he works with who lifted a 20G hard drive out of a test machine and replaced it with a 4G clunker. My friend does the best imitation of the Russian guy:

Boss: Yuri, did you take the 20G HD from the test machine?
Yuri: <head shaking hard>Uh, noooo. Nooooo. Me no take-it enything.
