Ok I am getting these weird buzzing noises when I move my mouse around. But sometimes I still get the noise when it isnt moving around. If I play any sound or I mute then unmute it the sound goes away then returns in like 30 seconds. It seems pretty sparatic and its like I can here what I am doing. I know it could be a IRQ problem but I don't know how to fix it. Please help! Oh and if this is the wrong forum I appologize.

Is that an optical one?
Mine is buzzing too, but hardly noticeable....
I think buzz sound is bundled with optical mice....
I never liked one.... :(

My mouse does the same thing. It's most noticeable right before I play CS, on the Windows Desktop, with headphones on.

your soundstorm is sharing IRQ with your USB port
Change IRQ settings by going to device manager and going to Computer. Update drivers for ACPI Uniprocessor PC, and change it to ACPI PC

You that that does work but my computer seems completely bogged now. Its like this huge performance hit. Loading time into windows has doubled. Same with opening games. Sometime when I move the mouse around I notice a little stutter every two seconds. I loaded up half life 2 and everything loaded twice the amount of time it should take. Once I was in the game I noticed that every two seconds it would stutter. I don't know what is going on. I had to do some fiddling with my drivers as it was saying that the ide drivers were not able to work becuase there was not enough system resources. I deleted the duplicates that said that then did a re detect of the system hardware and it acted like they were never there. I wonder why this is making such a performance dent in my system? Is there something I can do other than putting it back that will fix my new problems?

How do I set it back up as a acpi uniprocessor now that it is setup as a standard pc? I am not seeing the option in the list.
