Buzzing noise \ coil whine Asus Strix 980.

Hello. I have a question.
In Far Cry 4, before menu ,on a screen with PRESS ANY KEY TO START ( 196 fps ) , card occasionally start to buzzing. Not always. Sometimes i can hear a buzzing sometimes not.
So if this is coil whine, coil whine can happens occasionally?
Please help. Thank you.

Nothing to worry about. Use a frame limiter. My card does the same.

It is annoying as heck though, and is pretty common on 980's.
Some people have downclocked or overclocked a bit to get rid of the whine.
Other people have RMA'ed the card.

Didn't I read somewhere that sometimes it will go away after use? I swear I remember reading something along those lines.

Best to use a frame limiter because the fps skyrockets in the menu screen for some games and thats when coil whine happens.

Yup,you run the card in a looped benchmark or something similar to like the valley benchmark for about a day.Often times the coil whining either subsides or disappears.

Found this out in the Overclockers.net 970/980 thread,its quite interesting actually.
