Buying XBox system online new or refurbished?

How can I tell if the system was refurbished or not? Right now I'm looking at getting one from newegg.com for $179.99 + $5 s&h. It includes the smaller S controller that I want.

there's probably a better way but all I can think of is call up microsoft and see if the xbox you recieved was registered before?

The new one comes with those 2 games (at least, in retail stores).

If its not listed in Refurbished, then theres a good chance its new and retail.

BTW, good choice on the console 🙂.

It tells you in the product description. StarWars: Clone Wars and Tetris.

Get PGR2 (out now) or SegaGT Online (coming sometime soon) as your racing fix🙂

You can stop by an EB or Gamestop, and pick up that JSRF/SegaGT2002 combo disk for $10 or so, the ones they used last holiday season. I see so many of them sitting on the shelves for cheap. Awesome games for a good price.

Definitley get Project Gotham Racing, and Project Gotham Racing 2. They are both different games. PGR requires you to gain "Kudos" to get to the next level, and everything is kudos based. In PGR2, it's more position based, and less to do with Kudos. Also, both have great cars. You can prolly find the original PGR for sub 30. Also, Halo is an awesome game.

Well, brand new, PGR is on the "Platinum Games" list, which retails for $20. You can find a used one for cheaper than that.

Ahh, I didn't know that. I bought PGR when it first came out, but I figured sub 30 would be a good thing to say wothout consulting the price gods. If it retails 20 new, it is so worth it IMO. PGR and PGR2 are the most realistic play and sounding racing games on the market. The car's actually sound like they do in real life.

Depends on the car. In PGR2 I know the Mustang Cobra and Lightning sound nothing like they do IRL.
