Buying Windows 10

What is the legit and cheapest way to buy Windows 10 for a computer I am building? OEM is fine, so is just a key and me downloading the image from MS.

That's about what you'd expect for a "Home" version. And the only b**** I have with the Home version is a lack of Remote Desktop. I had -- or chose -- to purchase VNC to fulfill those needs between here (downstairs) and Home up there (upstairs).

But since they do a little shuffle from one Win version to the other as to how they define different "OS flavors," I wouldn't know for sure than Win10 Home doesn't provide that feature.

Thanks. I was hoping some one knew of a cheaper route. I got an code from Newegg through email that had Win 10 Home for $79.99, so I just did that.

UltraVNC or and Teamviewer are free.

Depending on the type of usage, in many cases they are better then Windows native Remote.

There are other variables that are part of the differences between Home and Pro versions.

That said (in general not concerning the OP) there are something that befuddles me every time it comes to purchasing Major OS.

OS is usually used for at least few years.

When the price of Windows is bellow the one sited above the probability of it being Pirated is close to 100%.

Giving that Many users spend on Alcohol /Starbucks/and Sugar loaded soft drink in a week more than the price of the OS, the constant quest to save another few $$ on a sub $100 item and provide encouragement to Pirates sounds Ridiculous.

Well . . . Face the situation: You're "building a new computer."

So --- ya-gonna pay for some OS, old or new, 7 or 10 . . .

Google also has a Remote Desktop feature built into chrome. I really like it. Use it often because it's very easy to use from any android device to PC or any PC to any other PC. Doesn't even have to be on the same network. Just an active internet connection and not asleep.
