buying vista ultimate

I'm thinking of buying a full version of vista ultimate.
I've found 2 websites that sell them.
viosoftware.com and softwaremedia.com
can I trust these sites?
they have full version vista for about $269
and if anyone know where to buy cheapest vista can you please let me know?

and one more question.
should I wait til the SP1 comes out for vista?

if i were you i'd buy from amazon for $329 because thats the street price for the Full version of Vista Ultimate Retail box (2 DVD's).

There is no point in waiting for SP1 as i am sure it will be released next month, if you have a good enough PC i am sure it will run fine with or without sp.

If you are a student, your university may provide it to you for free (or at least heavily discounted) if it is a member of the MSDNAA program:
http://www.msdnaa.net/search/schoolsearch.aspx

If you are employed, check into Microsoft's Work at Home program (I believe that is what it is called).

Not sure if either would offer you ultimate. My university only offers me Vista Business x32 and x64 for free.

Resellerratings.com shows good user reviews of Viosoftware.com.

Another option is the OEM version of Vista Ultimate. It'd be cheaper, but you don't get both 64-bit and 32-bit install DVDs, and the license proscribes moving it to a new motherboard when hardware upgrade time comes around.
