Buying/trading Windows XP

I recently upgraded to XP Home. After using it for awhile, I realized that I would prefer the features of the Pro edition. I contacted Microsoft to see if they had a trade-up type of program but they said the only thing I could do was return the software and purchase XP Pro. Unfortunately, the thirty day return window had passed. My question is what are my legal options as far as buying/trading for the Pro version? I do not want warez ( is that the correct term? ) but I searched the for sale/trade forum and saw several different types- OEM, NFR, Acedemic. I just want to be able to get and use a copy of XP Pro. If the previous owner activated it can they sell/trade it to me and then I can activate it? Sorry about the long post but I wanted to ask these questions before I post in the for sale/trade forum. I want to do the 'right' thing. I gues I could just bite the bullet and buy it retail- (sigh).

Thanks.

You will more than likely need to sell your XP home.

Here's a breakdown on the TITLES

NFR - This is a Not for resail product (you can trade for it however)
OEM - Original Equiptment Manufactur (pretty much the same as above)
Academic - this a legal copy sold by microsoft to students and teachers you need to be a student or teacher to leagally use it. Also I donot believe these are upgradible.

You may want to check into some onlinbe stores

XP Pro 147
