If you are tech savy check out the post I made on this card I just bought. My 2nd post has links to newegg pricing and fairly simple instructions on how to unlock/overclock this card. Took me about 5 minutes in all to do it. And the card is $3 more than the 6600gt you are looking at.

yup, that card is good. coupled with evga's excellent warranty, you can't go wrong with this 6600gt

Actually from what I've seen..

the 6800XT AGP is a great dela for under $150...
Maybe I'm wrong?

and other benchmarks.

But I had an evga 6600GT and it was a great OC'er and a solid card.

Also, only the 128mb version is available, and not even available at newegg right now.

I'd go with the 6600GT, right now.

The OP wants to run the card STOCK... no tweaking (this is clear). I think the 6600GT is a good card for what you're looking to do.

I used a 6600GT for about a year before passing it down to my wife's PC when I picked up the 6800GT. It's a nice card, you'll like it, and it's a good upgrade from a GF4.
