buying stuff online

OK, i have just bought my first item online. I was wondering how it works.

I live in an apartment building, so will UPS or something deliever it to the building. They dont know my buzz so how will they get in?

I know they leave a note but what if i dont get the note for whatever reason.

Do they throw away the item if I dont pick up on time?

Can you call them and ask about the delievery status?

Thanks a million

I see you're in Canada judging by the sig. of yours (if not, well nice to have a US Raps. fan 🙂 )

The company you ordered from should ask for the buzz code, otherwise you'll have to call UPS and have it added once a tracking number has been assigned.
If you're not at home they'll try to deliver it two more times, if you don't make those either it'll be sent to the nearest UPS depot.
They'll leave a note, and also update the tracking info online as well. ID is required to pick-up a package from the depot so it won't matter if someone steals the note.
Yes. Right into the dumpster out back... kidding, nope if you can't get to the depot within a certain time frame the package will be sent back to the shipper - you may have to pay for shipping again to have it resent depending on the company.
You can call or check online once a tracking number has been assigned by UPS to check on its status.

Hope that helps!

Buying online is great man....it's like Xmas when stuff arrives. Just don't get addicted to it like the rest of us did.
