What has the best deals on the NET for buying stocks online. Etrade, ameritrade, sharebuilder, tdwaterhouse??? I'm pretty confused. Wondering if people could help me out.

SHAREBUILDER.COM has this.
Invest at your own pace in what you want, when you want.
You pay only $3 per recurring or one-time purchase.
Click here to setup a ShareBuilder Plan.

$15.95 Real-Time Trades (WHAT IS A REAL-TIME TRADE)

Place real-time market or limit orders for only $15.95 per trade. Real-time orders
are executed when the major exchanges are open. During non-market hours you can enter orders to be executed when the market opens.
Click here to enter a Real-Time Trade Order.

All i want to do is buy stock in one company just once, and then leave it for a year or so. Does that mean I just pay $3 when i buy and then anotehr $3 when i sell? Thanks.

Don't know how those ShareBuilder works. Personally I am using datek cos they have lower commission on limit trade. They have pretty cool tools for tracking too.
