Been out of the hardware game for quite some time so I'm basically unaware of the differences between the older PC RAM vs PC2 ram.
My T41 takes the older PC2700 ram which is just DDR. I've found a deal for a DDR2 1GB stick of Kingston PC2-5300 ram.
I was wondering if my mobo will even take the the new ram and if so, can it scale back to a slower speed and perform similarly to a stick of PC2700 ram.
