Well, as the topic suggest, im thinking about buying a new PC...
i have roughly £2500 (seriously) to buy a PC - yay student loans!
now, my question is, if i went out and bought an uber PC tomorow, when vista and direct x 10 come along, would it be basically redundant and a useless buy, now i know that todays technology is tomorows crap, but still...id expect it to last more than 12 months (and i think i am right in assuming this when spending 2 grand on a PC)
so, basically, is Windows Vista, DirectX 10 and the funky new chips that nvidia and ati are making for both going to mean basically in a years time am i gonna have a glorified solitare rig....
if you anser, yes - buy a mega pc now! - then recommend me a rig to buy
if you answer no - your gonna get shafted way to fast, then justify it!
