Ok , i never bought anything online ... and i wonder what are the advantage of doing so ?

are the price lower ? cuz if they arent lower i dont see why you should have to pay for shipping cost and wait 3 months for something you could buy in 3 minute at a local store for less $...

anyways , i was thinking on buying a video card which can let me capture video from vhs tapes , ... i dont have a big budget and i was wondering what i could get ? i also play alot of games btw ...

Also , should i buy it online ? could anyone give me good place to buy stuff online ( video cards mostly ) ... Btw , i live in Canada , quebec... i dont know if that is gonna change something ...

Thank you for youre advises !

There are generally 3 advantages:

1) Better selection
2) lower prices
3) no sales tax (depending on where you live)

As for a video editing card. On a budget you probably want an ATI all-in-wonder. Without the budget you have to go Matrox RT2500. ;)

I'd suggest waiting a few weeks for the new ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon 8500DV
to appear at Futureshop.ca or Deals Direct (they're in Ottawa). Buying computer
parts from the US is rarely cheaper once exchange, shipping and duties are added.
