I say go with 2.

I think that rims like the ones in your first option go better with GTI/Golf VW's, whereas the 2nd one you showed goes better with Jetta/Passats.

Also if you are getting bigger wheels than stock, you should lower your car too. When I had put 17's on my jetta stock, the whell well gap looked ridiculous on it.

When I got rid of my jetta, I just decided to get something that I liked stock..

I have however put smoked turns and side markers on, as well as a black grille. Only other thing I'm going to do is tint the windows, and i MAY get smoked tail lights but I'm not sure.

(sorry for the shameless plug)

Cast wheels that try to look like they're multi-piece are really lame.

Yes...the OP said to give opinions on 2 wheels and that's it....

not anything that i would get. but a car is just a vehicle to me. something to get from point A to point B. or a work vehicle.

I'm not usually a wheel snob, but HP's are heavy and ugly. You may as well just get a set of American Racing wheels.

thanks for the opinion...but it has to be HP. I don't think they are that heavy though.

why do they have to be HP?

if you are gonna spend the money, do it right the first time.

while the wheels will probably look decent on your car, a great set will definately set you apart from the rest of the crowd.

because I know the guy that designs the wheels...so they will be MUCH cheaper than any other wheel manufacturer..
