I'm currently looking to buy this system. Any recommendations or warnings??

AMD Athlon? 64 3000+ Processor Retail (939)
MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum AMD Motherboard (socket 939)
1024M (2X512Mb)PC3200 DDR RAM Kingston/Kingmax
Western Digital 160G SATA 7200 rpm HDD
Albatron 128MDDR PC6600GT PCI Express Video
Liteon 16xDVD ±R/RW with software Double Layer(1693s)
Sony 1.44 Floppy Drive
Antec SLK3000B ATX Tower Case (No PSU)
Antec True Power II 430W

Do all AMD 939 moBo's support dual channel RAM, and do all pairs of RAM run in dual channel (Will the Kingston / Kingmax do?) I can get Geil Dual Channel series for a bit more if the Kingston won't run in dual.

Thanks!

get a 6800NU/LE and unlock/OC it using Rivatuner

get another optical drive if you don't already have one, it's a pain if you can't burn on the fly ~ I'm serious

If that RAM is anywhere in the middle class of 3200, don't get, either you get the cheapest 3200 RAM or you get the loaded super LOW CAS RAM, because if you're not going to max, then it's pointless for RAM

OC the hell out of your CPU

Get artic silver thermal paste

Get the NEC 3520/3540. Also dump the Sony floppy. A Samsung floppy is very quiet. $6 at Bestbyte.

Check out MSI, BFG, or eVGA 6600 GTs from newegg.
