I hit a piece of concrete a while back and the rip is somewhat messed up, plus the tire's side wall is kind of damaged so I decided to buy OEM wheels/tires from this dude. He said everything is good, not bent and straight. How do I inspect wheels before I buy them?

Look at them and see if they are bent or straight. 😛 If the inside and outside rims / lips look ok and you can't find any cracks anywhere, they're probably fine.

If you want to be really sure, you could always see if he'd go with you to a tire shop & have them balanced.

The ghetto way is to roll them on a flat surface, preferably something soft so it wont nick the lip of the wheels. If it wobbles then it's bent or out of rounds. If you want to be absolutely sure you'll have to take them in and have them balance on a machine.
