Buying new mobo after being out of it for a year or longer...

I think I shot my mobo, and I'm looking for a new one. I have an epox that's a few years old. I don't want to spend too much since I'm not doing anything fancy. Also, I would prefer Socket A for AMD.

Does the onboard audio on these mobos rival a Soundblaster Live! card? If so, I won't even bother putting that PCI card in my new rig.

You can get an abit nf7 or nf7 version 2.0 for around $70, or a shuttle ak35 for less. The second abit has soundstorm audio, better than some soundcards.
