This will be for 4 buildings in locations about 20 miles apart

WS-3650-24TD-S (1 in each building)
WS-3650-48PS-L (4 in each building)

Basic routing/vlan/trunking. SANs will be connected on 10GBe on transceiver modules.

Any thoughts on improvements? thx

You really need to list requirements. Those could be over kill to vastly undersized depending on the needs.

They're great switches...just know that if you intend to stack them, they all need to be the same featureset (and also that 3650s don't include stacking modules or cables by default.) If the switches are all going in the same location, I would definitely recommend stacking them.

To save a few pennies, you could also look at going with 2960XRs.

Im with drebo... 2960XR's they handle basic routing just fine. also do you need controller functionality? You may also want to wait for the new mGig switches that are coming out really soon. all ports will be mGig compliant

also, the switch you have listed as 3650-48PS-L IS NOT 10G capable. the 10G switches have a "D" or a "Q" in their model number
