Okay, I am getting the following:

Chaintech VNF3-250 nForce3 250
AMD Athlon64 3000+ Retail HSF
Seagate 160GB SATA Drive
Antec TruePower 430w
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro

I have currently got:
SB Audigy Xgamer
1GB PC4000 Kingston Gaming RAM (Got it @ BestBuy deals in HD forum... should work, right?)

Question... when I'm installing Windows, the Seagate drive should just work right away? I've heard horror stories of needing drivers and stuff... I don't have a floppy so it would be hard :)

Anyhoo... please let me know what you think asap, since I'm ordering in oh... 15 minutes :)

You're gonna have to order a floppy drive too, since the drivers for using the SATA channels come on a floppy, and they have to be used before you can load Windows.

sounds like a killer pc, i can vouch for the PSU and Video Card, but I htink you should probably spring for an x800 pro, it would compliment your system nicely if you have the extra $$$$

X800 is over my budget for right now, though I'd have loved to get it, it's just too pricey right now. I got my 9800 Pro for $190 shipped, so it was a good deal anyway.

As per the stability though... what do you think?

I think if you want to overclock, you're going to need a more powerful psu. But if you aren't, all you need to add to that list is a $10 floppy drive.

No, no overclocking for me :) I prefer stability and I only have one optical drive with the PS... so I don't think it's a huge deal.

That is a great system

Enjoy.

The 430 watt antec power supply is more than enough. Now get that cpu to 2.4ghz :D

I have heard, in addition... that my SATA drive will work without a headache with this motherboard. Others have seemed to report this success so hopefully I'll be lucky enough to as well.
