buying HVAC filters online?

Is this a terrible idea? I can't imagine these filters arriving in perfect condition. Even at big box stores, a good percentage of the HVAC filters you buy are folded or bent to some degree.

I get my Filters at Amazon--Box of 6.

The Only time they did not come in a Box they were in "Frustration Free Packaging".

The Nordic Air come in a box of 6 and are good although they are .5 inches smaller so sometimes they can "Whistle".

All of the filters I ordered from Amazon over the last 8 years arrived in Perfect condition.

I buy my 20x25x4 filters in packs of 2 from Amazon. They come through just fine.

My old house had an electrostatic filter I just washed. My new house has the white replaceable ones.

Are either better than the other? I just wonder if I'm going to live here for the next 10+ years if I shouldn't spring for a reuseable electrostatic metal filter instead of these disposable ones.

I've purchased them through Amazon before too without issues.
HOWEVER, I've come to realize they are quite a bit cheaper at Lowes.

I purchased Air-Care's washable filters. You can get them from Amazon from Air-Care.

I've seen the 3M ones at Lowes...I think the ones off Amazon I was purchasing was Honeywell. Either way, I'll take the cheaper option

They've always been cheaper than Amazon but the gap has been narrowing over the past couple of orders I've placed. These last a year or more. My system runs a static pressure test every day at 1 pm and lets me know when they need replacing. They're kind of a PITA to replace.
