I may be buying a house with a 30-year-old pool soon. The pool is 24x14, 8 feet deep on one end, 3 feet deep on the other. The decline is very steep - the shallow end is the first 4 feet, and then it deepens quickly. The pool is heated, and they said the liner was changed 3 years ago.
So what do i need to know? Do i have to inspect the sufrace the cracks? The plumbing for leaks? The heating system? The liner? I want to make sure i don't end up buying something i'll end up regretting. Also, i'm planning on hiring an inspector to inspect the entire house before buying, but i want to know a little bit myself, just to be on the safe side.
