just gave her her first bath. Not too much gunk on her. She's a clean bitch.

Now I'm off to Wallyworld to grab some ammo.

I really should work at some point. I've only worked like 10 days this month.

Oh well.

FYI, ammoman has a pretty good deal on speer lawman. 124 gr is $220 per 1k shipped. Pretty good deal for something that is loaded a little "hotter" and isn't the usual 115.

EDIT: Took the wife to the fun store yesterday since I'd like to get her a "dedicated" weapon. She ended up liking the M&P 9 pretty well. I had one before and was thinking about picking up another. Now I have an excuse to buy 2. "His and her" versions. One with pink inserts, lefty controls and maybe pink anodizing when I send both slides off to get front slide serrations.

I ordered me a new 9mm today as well. I wanted to get a Beretta 92 or M9 for a while to go with my Cx4 carbine (since they both use the same mags), and ended up getting the newer 90-Two. Should be here tomorrow or wednesday, I am looking forward to taking it out shooting.

I will second the ammoman recommendation. They have always been great to deal with in my experience.

I've used ammoman in the past, no problems and it comes in fairly discrete packaging. 1k in rounds doesn't really take up as much space as you might think. \

I also bought some bulk ammo from these guys:

http://georgia-arms.com/

It's 'reload' but honestly its as good as new. Casings look great, all clean, and it shoots great. Can be a cheap way to get some good range ammo. Even though I just use it for range I feel confident enough in it I would carry it. However I have some ranger ammo I carry instead.

you are in grand rapids, way northwest MI... it takes me 2.5 hours to drive from here to Kalamazoo, and you are more north...

ill pass :D i think there is a shooting range around here somewhere.

This stop by my place. Its a bit further but I can walk out the back door and shoot.

OK, its a lot further than where rudeguy lives. About 45 minutes south of South Bend.

that's not very cheap for reloads... you can get new ammo for that price. you're getting ripped off.

Havent you gotten that safe yet? I've been looking at the same one but some of the reviews scared me away.

just came today! Its estimated arrival date on the UPS site is still the 15th :D

Nice and solid safe. Its longer than I thought it would be, so it doesn't fit in the drawer I wanted to keep it in. It does come with plenty of mounting hardware if you want to do some kind of upside down ninja install.

Programming took 30 seconds which included installing the 8 AA batteries.

I'm happy. Now if my range bag and holster would get here I'd be all set.

I read on other forums about how the GunVault Biometric can be opened in relatively simple ways. This Gun Vault product on Amazon has a reviewer who lists the faults: http://www.amazon.com/Titan-AS-2020-.../dp/B0037AK9HO

Can you open your Gun Vault this way??

Which range bag did you end up getting?

LA police gear is having a 20% off sale on 5.11 bags and I'm tempted to get one of those or a tac force since mine was stolen. I'm also tempted to get one from bagmaster or something else made in the US.

not by knocking on it. That looks like the micro and I got the mini delux one. It looks like a different latching system. I have no idea what the second guy as doing...I'm not planning on trying it either.

I bought this one so I can have it be out of site and can access it very quickly. Much quicker than a cable lock or trigger lock. There may be issues if I mess with it a bunch, but I don't plan on doing that.

I ordered this one:

Can you give me a link to the one you like? This one hasn't shipped yet, so I'll happily cancel it.

Hard to link when a lot of websites are blocked at work. You can browse the bagmaster website though. Here is a link to a 5.11 bag and tac force. Some of the things I wanted were lots of mag holders and removable sleeves to accommodate at least 2 pistols. The midway range bag often goes on sale for like 30 bucks but it is too large for me and has people overload it, although many like it.

http://tac-force.com/largerangebag.aspx

You can often find a lot of threads by just googling range bag and then refining your search for features you want.

If you want a great bag I just picked up one from Midway USA, it's huge and would be overkill for just one gun but it's an excellent deal...LINK

Well the OD green one is a deal at $40...black is $70...but they change which color is on sale every couple weeks.
