Anyone know a inexpensive website for buying batteries? I need a certain battery (watch) and I cannot find it locally. I have tried Wal-Mart and Radio Shack. Radio Shack wants $5.50 per battery and it will take 1-2 weeks. I found the same battery online for as little as $2.00 but the shipping kills.
Looking for a godd site with realistic shipping. These batteries are so small they could go inan envelope for $.37.

Why does everyone think the stamp is the only cost of shipping an item?

Assuming they shipped you the battery for $1 (envelope and stamp, whatever the label or ink costs) and then you say you never got it (very common with untracked merchandise), what do they do now? What if you do get it and it fell out in shipping or was damaged?

I didn't say the total cost of the shipping would be $.37. I'm just saying that over $6.00 is a little high for shipping. Regardless of the price of the packaging, ink, etc.

What's your problem, the guy just wants a decent shipping rate and doesn't want to get raped paying $6.00 for $2 in batteries.

I dont have a problem...just that there is more to shipping than the stamp.

What these online outfits do (and I hate) is lump their operating costs into the shipping and thus give them a low perceived price.

$6 is excessive on a battery, but most of these places will ship multiple units for that same $6.

The small purchases always cause the most headaches it seems. I know a few retailers that will flat out not sell less than $100 to $1000 per order....there are some that require a $50k order also (Cisco gear) or they won't touch it.
