hi i am new this sli thing. and i need some expert advice from u all. can i go:
a)9800gx2 sli on this board? what about driver does it work on quad gpu? will it fit?
b)9800gtx sli. just for an option. but i heard this is 8800gts remake?
c)8800gtx sli. will it work with tri sli?

planning to use enermax 1kw galaxy and cm690. it can fit right?

It all depends on what you want. Apart from the ability to run more than two cards the 9800gts is a dressed up 8800gts. The 9800gx2 is the most powerful nvidia card you can get right now until the real next gen shows up.

I'd grab a single EVGA 9800gx2 (thats all you need right now) and step up (with the step up program) to a gt200 card in 2/3 months when they are released. If the gt200 dosen't beat the balls off the 9800gx2,then buy another 9800gx2 dirt cheap. The gt200's release will surely drop the price of the gx2. I bet by then the drivers will be better for the quad sli setup also. You can't lose either way.

thanks for the replies. i think i will take the 9800gx2 single. maybe 2. ok this is what i'm gonna get:
q9300/q9450
asus striker II formula
corsair ddr2 xms 8500
xfx/gigabyte 9800gtx
enermax 1kw galaxy
cm690

is there any parts that i can improve on this setup? or is there some sort of compatibility issues with the items? or i'm all good? coz i have a big budget and this is what i can think of..
