Guys can you recommend how to look for a decent deal for an unsubsidized phone? I'm on verizon and i have a BB Tour which i hate. Not my type of phone at all. I want to get an HTC Incredible. The best deal i can find on one is at amazon ($529) which is MSRP but is still the best because i don't have to pay taxes. I can get the phone for the same price directly through verizon but i would have to pay taxes. I have checked wirefly & letstalk and they are actually selling the phones higher than MSRP (which is suprising because they always have the best deal when you looking to buy on contract). Checked on ebay also and people are selling the phone for or higher than MSRP which is absolutely crazy because most likely the phone isn't going to have a warranty. Any help would be appreciated.

thanks,
Ncage

You have pretty much covered your options other than craigslist. Buying high end phones off contract isn't cheap, especially when it's the hottest phone of the moment.

Might want to wait until they aren't hard to get through VZW. The prices may drop a bit then.

Yeah, I agree with what has been written. Trying to get a good deal on a very popular smart phone is very hard. There's no real answer to this except to either wait or go to a less popular model instead. Or pay the termination fee and move to another service provider and choose their super hot phone (Evo 4G on Sprint, for example)

I heard the HTC EVO is going to be $450 without a contract...I might actually do that instead of reupping for 2 years. I'm willing to pay a premium to not be in contract. It might even be cheaper on CL.

its hard to get a good verizon phone because they dont have very many. if you want incredible youll probably have to pay the full price. you might be able to get a better price on the original droid now that incredible is out but i doubt it
