I was wondering which thermal compound you guys would recommend? I will be putting it on my GPU and memory chips of an AGP 6800GT. I was leaning towards getting the Arctic Silver 5 thermal compound (3.5 grams).

Also, as mentioned, I am getting the REV2 NV Silencer 5.

the AS5 spreads crazily,a rice grain size drop will spread to cover a amd64 heatsink. On a gpu that's bad since yuo'll probably just bridge some resistors near the gpu with this capacative material. Also, it's like glue. Use Artic Ceramique. Non capacative and cools just as well. Of course, you'll see big gains with stock tim too.

AS5 FTW ;)

It is not conductive, nothing like glue & if you use it as you are meant to you'll have no problems at all...i use it under my zalman vf700 CU
